Healing Weekend 1995
Interest in healing and complementary medicine has always been
strong amongst Theosophists and by the 1990s an increasing number of members
were themselves involved in alternative medicine at some level.
November 1995 saw a Healing Weekend at Cardiff Lodge which included
lectures on and demonstrations of many healing disciplines such as Reiki, Bach
Flower Remedies, Reflexology, Homeopathic Remedies, Essential Oils and
Aromatherapy. Most of the speakers were Theosophical Society members.
Interest was clearly stimulated by the gathering and a number of
healing groups met at the Lodge over the following months. The interest has
continued and healing groups still meet on a regular basis.
